A very thin infill project between two residential blocks in Cologne. With four separate dwellings, this project has a maximum with of 2.8m. The first floor can be arranged as an office or one bedroom apartment, with a two identical level above.

Circulation to these units is from the rear side, which then moves internally where a spiral stair services fourth dwellings double height and roof.

Structurally challenging due to the vehicle throughfare on the ground level, the building uses thin concrete columns on the adjoining walls to support CLT paneled floors. The facade is glass blocks, assembled off site in thin concrete frames.

To the rear balconies are off steel construction and extend the living spaces into the green yard behind.
